Fiesta Cristiana
Fiesta Cristiana is a Hispanic/Latino congregation in Apex, NC. It is one of four churches making up Apex United Methodist Church’s Cooperative Parish. Partners for Impact supported Fiesta Cristiana with grant writing, general fundraising, planning, report writing, and promotions. Through this work we are confronted the racial dynamics of a collaborative church model that includes three English-speaking, predominantly white congregations and one Spanish-speaking, predominantly Latinx congregation. They formed a Racial Equity Bridge Team to strengthen awareness and healing, build an anti-racist culture, and expand outreach in ways that address disparities caused by inequity.
