The Western NC Youth Homelessness Partnership is a dedicated coalition focused on addressing and ending youth homelessness across the rural regions of western North Carolina. It brings together a network of committed partners, including community organizations, local governments, and concerned citizens, to establish and implement a system responsive to the unique challenges and strengths of youth (16-24) experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness.
PROJECTS:
Project 1: Western NC Youth Homelessness Partnership Assessment & Evaluation
Project Overview: HealthNet Gaston received a Youth Homeless System Improvement grant from HUD to create and implement a coordinated youth homelessness response system across 20 counties in western North Carolina. To support this effort, Partners for Impact was engaged to assist in the designing of a regional response framework and develop evaluation and monitoring strategies. Our consultants are conducting a comprehensive regional analysis, including secondary data review, focus groups, stakeholder interviews, a capacity building assessment, and systems mapping. This work aims to identify existing structures, contributing trends, and key players currently addressing youth homelessness in the region.
Project 2: Western NC Youth Homelessness Partnership Coordinated Entry System Improvement Project
Project Overview: Alongside the Assessment and Evaluation project, Partners for Impact was also engaged specifically to assess and create an improvement plan for the Homeless Coordinated Entry Systems across the region, including Balance of State Regions 1, 2, & 3 and the Gaston/Lincoln/Cleveland Continuum of Care. Our consultants are centering the planning process with stakeholders and youth, working across regions in large and small group planning sessions and providing local area technical assistance.
