Partners for Impact – Driving Change Through Collaborative Consulting

Partners for Impact is a mission-driven consulting firm striving to create meaningful change around complex human service problems. By working at the individual, organizational, and community levels, they help clients tackle issues with a holistic, values-driven approach.

To gather feedback on their work, Partners for Impact recently commissioned an independent evaluation involving interviews with 7 previous clients. The findings demonstrate the firm’s commitment to their core values of equity, flexibility, and integrity, while highlighting the tangible impact they’re making.

Exceeding Expectations 

Across the 9 projects evaluated, client satisfaction with the final outputs was exceptionally high. 7 out of 9 projects were ranked a perfect 5 out of 5, with the remaining 2 receiving 4 out of 5. Clients noted that the Partners for Impact team went “above and beyond” to deliver individualized solutions that “exceeded expectations.”

“The overall process was not prescriptive. They took the time to really try to understand what it was that we were going after,” remarked one participant. Another added, “I thought they did a really good job of taking data that they had worked on with us and giving it more context so it wasn’t just the raw numbers, but it was analyzed. It really had more of a story to it.”

Flexible, Adaptive Approach 

Clients were equally impressed with Partners for Impact’s flexible, adaptive approach. 100% of respondents attested to experiencing this value firsthand, highlighting the team’s ability to pivot plans, adjust timelines, and tailor their methods to best suit each unique situation.

One respondent shared, “Timelines have been a great example. You can make your best guess of when things are going to be ready, and they stay in touch…and having a deadline you are shooting for but not being so rigid that you can’t pivot from that.”

Integrity at the Forefront 

Integrity also emerged as a defining characteristic, with all 7 clients affirming that Partners for Impact consistently did what they said they would do. Participants praised the team’s commitment to deadlines, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile.

“If an application was due on the 15th, they would always try to have it done on the 13th to go over for review, they always met their deadlines and kept their word,” shared one client. Another remarked, “There was never any kind of feeling that they were going to tack on extra stuff to do or charge us more or not fulfill the work we talked about.”

Creating Meaningful Change 

Beyond the consulting process, clients highlighted the measurable impact Partners for Impact has had at the individual, organizational, and community levels. One participant explained, “Everything we were working towards was ultimately on the individual level- was about a specific parent and child on whose behalf we were working. But (we also) worked with a lot of agencies, non-profit organizations and family serving organizations essentially doing local capacity building at the organizational level. On the community level- because this was such a human facing building better attachment for children and their families, it has a community impact.”

Another client shared, “Our project wasn’t geared toward the individual level, but was certainly an impact for all involved in the project.” They continued, “It helped us as an office, it helped the CoC’s and it helped with the communities.”

Future Partnership 

When asked if they would hire Partners for Impact again, the responses were overwhelmingly positive across a range of service areas. 7 out of 7 clients said they would give the firm the highest rating for evaluation work, while 6 out of 7 said the same for strategy development/planning, building capacity, and coalition building.

Summarizing the sentiment, one participant stated, “I’ve really enjoyed working with them and I’ve referred them to another organization I work with as well. I really like the work they do. They are very thorough in their analysis. There were many times we had conversations they probably should have billed us for but they gave us free calls and discounted rates which I really appreciated being a non-profit.”
